Valentines Day!

Usually on Valentines day Tyler and I don't usually do much. We just kind of hang out or watch a movie. This year we went all out. He got me roses (which he does every year). I love the author Nicholas Sparks. He wrote "The Notebook", anyway one of his movies came out a few weeks ago, and Tyler took me to go and see it. The movie is "Dear John". Loved it. After that the night didn't end. We went to Olive Garden for supper. That restaurant is on the top of my list for my favorite restaurants. I just love that place. Here is a rundown of how our day went:

We went to the movie at 4:20, it got done at about 6:30. Olive Garden told us to call about an hour ahead, so we tried and tried and tried, but the phones were not working, so we drove right across the street (the movie was in rivertown). I put my name in, the wait was two and half hours to three hours, so we went back to the mall. After wasting an hour at the mall we went back to Olive Garden. We were still expecting to wait an hour or so, but we think they made a mistake and forget to put my name down, so thankfully the lady who I talked to the first time recognized me, and we got to sit right down. We went all out, we got our own bottle of wine, and we even got desert to go. It was an awesome valentines day, and birthday celebration.

Call to help!

If I want a glass of water I go to the sink and I get clean fresh water. As Pastor Dann keeps going through the sermon series "A Hole in the Gospel" I felt like today he was talking to me. The message was about when we help out people in need that we are helping out Christ. He said that 1 out 6 people don't have running water. Every 15 seconds a child will die because of a disease they will get because of the lack of running water. Water is something that I use every day. Just imagine one day if you woke up and wanted a glass of water, but you couldn't because you didn't have any water. Or the water that you did have was dirty and full of disease. We as Americans use about 100 gallons of water per day (i think). Pastor Dann had a bucket filled with 1 gallon of water and he had a woman hold it. He said that imagine if you have to carry three of those buckets. One in each hand and one on your head and walk a few miles just to get your family fresh water.
For that reason I felt the call of God. There is a website: www.water4.org if you donate six dollars that is enough to give one person a drink. If you think about it six dollars isn't all that much, maybe one meal at a fast food place, or three cups of coffee at your local coffee shop. I just know that today I will be donating to that organization. I just felt God working in my heart today, and I want to do something to help!
